- NEW! Mother/Child library at York Correctional Institution
- Book donations to other children’s organizations in Connecticut, other states and countries
- Permanent children’s libraries in shelters, inner city schools, Head Start programs, daycare providers, schools on Indian reservations and other locations as needed
- Children’s book boxes in soup kitchens
- Family Outreach – Former shelter families for whom books continue to be provided since 1993
- “Books to the Streets” distributes books in low income housing areas and summer school programs in inner cities
- The "BTD-CLA Connection": Books to Dreams–Connecticut Library Association: Deaccessioned books from libraries to soup kitchens, facilitated by BTD volunteers
